Adding Lighting to a Room
Lighting really tied the room together

We recently did a lighting project for a customer. Here are some examples of new fixtures that can change a space. We needed to make holes in the plaster to add new wiring. We did apply the 1st coat of patch. In some of the photos, the patchwork is pointed out.

Here is a typical attic bonus. Lighting was not installed when the home was built. The addition of a new center fixture makes this room useful.

To convert this attic space to a bedroom, we added a light. We made holes to fish the new wiring. Look closely and you can see the patch.

This hallway was never properly illuminated. Today this would not be up to code. The lack of lighting would be a tripping hazard. Adding sconce lighting to this hallway fixes this safety issue.

In this kitchen, you can see the dramatic improvement the added lighting does. Kitcher needs to be well-light. Cooking and prepping food requires bright task illumination. This is a location where Lighting really tied the room together. In a kitchen, it is almost impossible to have too much lighting.

Older kitchens with a single center light benefit the most from the addition of new recessed fixtures. Center lights cast shadows on workspaces. Anyone using the counter blocks the light from getting to the work area.
